“Come close to God and He will come close to you.” James 4:8
God will come close to you.
In fact, He already is. We know He is always present—with us—but we don’t always feel it.
This is where we rely on our faith, not our feelings. God is near. He desires you to draw near to Him, He loves you! So trust His promise: He is near to you.
Pray to experience His presence. Spend time. Spend time in unplugged, undistracted prayer, worship, the word, meditating on it. Don’t try to squeeze out results and let it be what it is. Let it be an offering of relationship, a sacrifice of praise—or even an unhurried silence before Him.
Just come close.
